How to prevent intermittent explosive disorder

In case you’re someone suffering from this personality disorder, prevention will be out of control unless you get yourself treated from an expert. Here are few ways in which you can prevent certain incidents.

  • Stick to the treatment: Make sure you attend therapy sessions and practice different skills of coping with your doctor.
  • Practice techniques of relaxation: There are few relaxation techniques like deep breathing, yoga, relaxing imagery which can enable you in saying calm.
  • Use problem-solving capabilities: Think of a plan to find out a way in which you can solve all sorts of frustrating problems. Have a set plan so that you can refocus on your energy.
  • Avoid alcohol and drugs: If you use mood-altering substances like drugs or alcohol, you should stop using them for good.
